Cut To The Chase

Hey, All,

It seems to me it's time to cut to the chase. The more I read by believers in Christ, the more I am amazed., but I really shouldn't be. It seems to me that many believers are so surprised by the events of our times. Is it because we live in a country that is so blessed that we forget that persecution can come to our own land? Have we taken our freedom of speech and religion for granted? Should we not expect this as a believer?
Those who follow prophecy understand that the things like Phil Robertson being chastised for stating his Christian beliefs about homosexuality, same-sex marriage, etc., etc., the Army saying you can't say Christmas, schools censoring words from Christmas carols, just to name a few are all a part of a society who has thumbed their noses at God, our Father, and his son Jesus. They prefer to go their own way, and so, they are reaping what they have sown. There is a saying that I came across a few years ago. It is this. "Truth is hate to those who hate the truth". It is very appropriate for the times in which we live.
So, Christian, what are you supposed to do? We must speak out and expose the evil deeds of darkness that the Apostle Paul spoke of in Ephesians. I myself say, be courageous and strong.  Speak the truth in Love.

Duck Dynasty Flap Continued

Today, I stand with Phil Robertson as a believer in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I find it very interesting, but not surprising how the world has reacted to his statements about homosexuality, bestiality, etc.. In the word, even Jesus talked about how if we believed as the world believed, they would love us as their own. The bottom line is they do hate Christians because we confront them with their sin.
However, I believe that when we look at the United States and the world from a biblical perspective, they are in the grips of a powerful delusion. A delusion that has blinded the eyes of unbelievers for thousands of years. So, if we think that the flap with Phil Robertson is an isolated incident, think again Christians. I see more persecution on the horizon for those who are outspoken about their Christian beliefs. There was a saying that came out a few years ago and I'm not sure who said it, but it is this, "Truth is hate to those who hate the truth." So, be prepared by studying your Bibles so you won't be deceived.

Duck Dynasty Controversy

I'm sure that most of you have heard by now of the controversy over the comments made by Phil Robertson, the head of the Duck Dynasty clan. I'm glad that he stood up and testified that he and his family are believers in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Even though some of his comments were crude, his over all courageous stand for Jesus is inspirational and strengthens me and helps to build up my faith.

Bennie, the family dog

These past months have been quite interesting. My son had two dogs. Now, he has one and my wife and I have Bennie. I always resisted having a dog not because I don't like dogs, but the general idea being that it's too expensive and it ties a body down, but my son said there wasn't a good home for him to go to.
So, being the softy that I am I said yes. Who could resist that face anyway. I couldn't!

I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

Man, I can't believe that it's been a year since my last post! Things are going smoothly. I just have to remember that my Father in Heaven calls me to walk one day at a time for no man can add an hour to his life by worrying. Remember,  this is where it all ends, so believe in Jesus as your Savior from sin today!
