Fellow Americans, I urge you, as a Christian, as a free man living in a free country, to stand up for the freedoms that our founding fathers valiantly fought and died for throughout the history of the United States. We need to return and adhere to the solid principles that made this nation great! The principles that have guided us for well over two hundred years are: Limited Government; Personal Liberty; Secure Borders; A Sound Dollar Backed By Gold and Silver; and a Foreign Policy with Backbone.
However, as a Sovereign Nation composed of many states our freedoms are being eroded at an alarming rate by the current administration. Furthermore, even though we espouse these principles as Americans, a majority of us have placed far too much trust in our government. It is sad that I, as well as we, have taken for granted that our President, Senators, Congressmen, etc., were looking out for our best interests as citizens of the United States. Many of us have depended on the liberal media for our news, are willfully ignorant of the current workings of the political machine in Washington, or deem political involvement to be unimportant for their future.
People! We are not "stupid!" We must use our God-given intelligence to discern the times in which we live. I have been reading through a wealth of materials to become a citizen who is well-informed about the current political scene. I confess that in the past I have not been a concerned citizen, but I came upon a quote that stirred my soul. Simply stated, "Eternal Vigilance is the price of Freedom." If this is the price of freedom, are we willing to pay it as our forefathers did? Are we willing to expend the time and energy ? Will we wake from our slumber before our freedoms and liberty are completely snatched from our hands by the very ones who govern us? I, for one, will stand and fight for this is what it might come to.
As a Christian, my goal in the pursuit fo securing our freedom and liberty is to seek to follow the closing thoughts of the Apostle Paul in his letter to the Phillipians when he said, "Finally brothers, whatever is true; whatever is noble; whatever is right; whatever is pure; whatever is lovely; whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things."

Freedom in America: Part 2
So, now where do our freedoms come from? They come from God, the Father, our creator and are disclosed in the Declaration of Independence as our inalienable rights.
First, I believe it is imperative to differentiate between a Republic and a Democracy. A wealth of individuals believe that our country is a Democracy. This is unequivically false. Essentially, a Democracy is rule by a majority whereas a Republic is a form of G0vernment that is equally representative of all people. Our Founding Fathers hammered out a Republic not a Democracy.
One example of how the Democrats are pushing their "rule by the majority" is by using a process called Franking to keep vital information about the health care reform bill from the people of the United States. Our government officials are able to use their name just like you or I would use a postage stamp. This enables government officials to get vital information into the hands of their constituents. However, their is a "Franking Commission" that regulates the usage of this process and is controlled at the present time by the Democrats. The Democrats are blocking the Republicans from getting out this vital information about health care reform to their constituents. So tell me, where is the equal representation of the people if the Democrats can do this? They are forcing their majority decisions in an underhanded way on we, the people, without our consent. I'm sure that many of the Democrats are holding their breath hoping that they won't be found out.
