2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Our nation, by the Grace of God, has perservered for well over two hundred years. Our underlying foundation has been built on the God of the Bible and belief in Jesus Christ as Savior for all mankind. We must remember that a majority of the Founding Fathers held this belief and it influenced their thinking when they were in the process of forging the Constitution of the United States. The other Founding Fathers in the minority had a healthy respect for those who believed this way. Needless to say, we must return to this foundation before it crumbles completely.
Many people, it seems, even conservatives, would like to poo-poo the idea of being vocal about our faith in God and Jesus Christ as Savior. It must be intertwined with and influence our decisions as individuals as well as groups united as patriots of the United States of America. We must not shrink back from this faith that we hold dear.
Truthfully, we cannot expect God, Our Father, to bless our nation when we have rejected him in all facets of our lives as a nation. We have become biblically illiterate and, so, we are paying the price. We, as a nation, are reaping what we have sown.
